Host an In-the-Know! Event

Are you motivated by the idea of empowering women? 

Do you believe that YOU can make a difference for those who are struggling just to get by day-to-day? 

Do you have friends who might want to help too?

That sounds like my organization and my network!

Great! You can make a difference by partnering with Solid Ground for Africa to help women and orphans. One of the easiest ways is by helping us spread the word about the life-changing work that Solid Ground for Africa is doing to empower women to earn independent and sustainable sources of income for themselves and the orphaned children whom they care for. We’re doing things in a totally new way to ensure their autonomy!

I want to help, but what do I have to do?

It’s easy! Invite any friends, family, colleagues or others in your network who might be interested in learning more about our organization to join you for an information party. It doesn’t have to be a large group, although we recommend at least three to ensure a robust conversation. You can host at your home or another venue. Typically, the host provides light refreshments. 

We’ll do the rest! We have a brief presentation to explain in more depth the specific projects we’re working on and then be available to lead a conversation with the group and answer questions. It’s important to know, at these events, you and your guests WILL NOT BE ASKED FOR DONATIONS; these events are simply for you and your guests to learn about who SGA is and what we’re all about.
